October 10: Orbital Mechanics Podcast. This is a good listen while you’re traveling! Our CTO Ben Reed joined host Ben Ethingerton for an insightful chat about Quantum Space and our mission. They explored what it takes to build a deep space infrastructure network and the challenges we’re setting out to solve for commercial and government customers in GEO, cislunar and beyond. October 12: The 6th Annual Global Satellite Servicing Forum (GSSF). Arlington, VA. We’re participating on a panel at 1:25pm entitled, “ISAM and Cislunar: AIAA Cislunar Ecosystems Task Force Interoperability and Standards.” Facilitator Ron Birk of the Aerospace Corporation will lead a roundtable discussion about how the Cislunar Ecosystem requires interoperability across systems of systems enabled by ISAM. Along with Quantum Space, others on the panel are Dan Dumbacher, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, John Lymer, MDA, and Rich Reinhart, NASA.
October 17: Value of Space Summit 2023. Colorado Springs, CO. We’re excited to be on stage on a panel at 2:10pm called, ”Evolvable Cislunar Space Ecosystem: Sharing Data Across Systems of Systems.” Joining us will be Ronald Birk, Principal Director, The Aerospace Corporation, Aaron Enes, Principal Aerospace Systems Engineer – Advanced Development Programs, Blue Origin, Dr. Michael Klipstein, CISM, CISSP, Senior Public Policy Advisor, Baker Donelson and Debi Tomek, Senior Advisor, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
October 18: Satellite Innovation/MilSat 2023. Mountain View, CA. We’re participating on a panel entitled, “Orbital Debris: Prospects for Mitigation, Situational Awareness and Removal.” The panel will be moderated by Dr. Bryan Benedict, Senior Director of Innovation and Satellite Programs at SES Space & Defense, and will include Dr. Victor Aguero, Founder CEO and CTO of Cambrian Works, Dr. Clare Martin, Executive Vice President of Astroscale, Dr. Ed Lu, CTO and co-founder of LeoLabs and Timothy McClay, CEO of ClearSpace.
October 23-24: AIAA Ascend 2023. Las Vegas, NV. Staying out west a bit longer, we’ve been selected to participate on several panels. Our CEO Kerry Wisnoski will be on a panel on October 23rd at 11:30am called Sustainable Development of the Cislunar Ecosystem. Joining him to discuss this important topic will be Shatel Bhakta of the Lunar Architecture Team Lead / Lead Architect, S&AO, Explorations Systems Development Mission Directorate of NASA, Nicole Smith, Deputy Director of Technology Demonstrations, Space Technology, Mission Directorate of NASA, Joe Landon, CEO of Crescent Space and John Reed, Chief Rocket Scientist at United Launch Alliance.
On October 24th at 11:30am., we’ll be discussing the the timely topic of Commercial Telecom Services During Conflict. This discussion will center on commercial services implications during conflict. With the reliance on commercial services, the USG recently held discussion on leveraging the Civil Reserve Air Fleet model for space systems. Joining us on the panel will be Col. Richard Kniseley, Senior Material Leader and Jeremy Leader, Deputy Director both from the Commercial Space Office of United States Space Force, Chris Gates, Technical Director of LEO Labs Federal, Brian Bone of the Aerospace Corporation, and John Reed, Chief Rocket Scientist at United Launch Alliance.
October 25-27: AAS Von Braun Symposium. Huntsville, AL. Our team will be attending this symposium, discussing the theme for the event, “Advancing Space: From LEO to Lunar and Beyond” with other attendees. We’re looking forward to connecting with the other stakeholders who are committed to developing the infrastructure in this new realm of exploration and sphere of warfare.
