Quantum Space has been selected by NASA to conduct a rapid development study of the Mars Sample Return mission, leveraging the innovation of the commercial space sector to return Martian soil to Earth for the first time in history.
We have made contact! Quantum Space mission control team has successfully received and transmitted data to Scout-1 using our Quantum Mission Ops Center, Rockville, MD. Commissioning operations are underway.
The Board comprises key retired National Security and Civil Space leaders who will provide strategic guidance to Quantum Space as we advance humanity's journey to the stars. Members include Gen. Carlton Everhart II (Ret), Dr. Lisa Porter, Michael Dickey, Dr. Michael Griffin and Dr. Bradford Tousley.
Steve’s commitment to excellence, his kindhearted and generous spirit, and his passion for advancing cutting edge technology continue to inspire our activities daily. We honor his legacy with an engraved plaque onboard our inaugural spacecraft – Sentry. Lofting his spirit to the stars.
This foundational mission is a step toward uniting Earth and space with seamless connectivity.
Sensing spacecraft to perform end-to-end demonstrations for QuantumNet, the company’s planned space infrastructure solution in GEO and cislunar space
Our suitcases are packed (sort of), and we’re excited to be speaking at and participating in several conferences and symposiums coast to coast this month. If you happen to be attending one of the following events and want to schedule a time to connect with us, email sales@quantumspace.us, and we’ll find a time.

We have just wrapped up our summer 2023 intern program and it was a huge success. We’re incredibly proud of the interns who joined us. The interns were tasked with developing a 2U CubeSat to fly on a high-altitude balloon (HAB) with tech demo payloads for future applications by Quantum Space.
There is a lot of talk about the need for SSA (Space Situational Awareness) and SDA (Space Domain Awareness), and sometimes these terms are used interchangeably. However, there is an important difference, and the distinction matters. As this is key to our mission, we thought we’d take the time to break it down.
We’re back from Smallsat! It was a great week, and we enjoyed connecting in person with so many partners, customers and industry professionals. The program was inspiring and informative as well, as we listened to and learned from government and commercial space organizations about their upcoming missions, new technologies and plans for the future in the new economy and ecosystem of space. Here are a few of the themes we saw again and again – in meetings, presentations and conversations in Logan.
Space debris is an existential threat that is only increasing and can be a huge risk to spacecraft on orbit as well as human safety of crewed missions as we journey farther and farther from Earth. There are currently more than 27,000 objects being tracked by domestic and international governments and a growing cadre of commercial companies.
We’re headed to Logan, Utah next week for the 37th Annual Small Satellite Conference. We’re excited to meet with other industry professionals and share the latest developments at Quantum Space.
Sue Hall is Quantum Space’s VP of Programs. She has more than 30 years of aerospace technical and management leadership in the space industry, and is a critical part of delivering on Quantum Space’s mission.
When it comes to OTVs, just like Goldilocks and her three bears, there IS too big, too small and “just right.” We believe after factoring in the limitations of physics, commercial viability, and economies of scale, our Ranger OTV hits the sweet spot for size — especially for the challenging environments of GEO and cislunar space.
We’re fortunate to have a talented crew of interns joining us at Quantum Space this summer. They are an important part of our team and are making significant contributions to our work. We wanted to take a moment and shine a spotlight on these talented young people. These folks are going places!
We’re not only pioneering a new space ecosystem to advance and protect our planet, we’re also dedicated to improving life in the communities we live in.
Last week, Quantum Space employees took part in a “Day of Giving,” volunteering in multiple locations. It was a great example of doing good in the community while also having fun with co-workers.
We were pleased to have our Chief Strategy Officer Philip Bracken participate in Payload’s recent webinar, “Cost Effective Launch Beyond LEO.” He was joined by panelists Tony Frego, Vice President of Mission Management at Spaceflight, Will Coogan, Chief Engineer at Firefly Aerospace and James Bultitude, Senior Consultant at Orbit Fab.
